At the third edition of Shipping, Forwarding & Logistics meet Industry, Umberto Torello, as President of SezioneTrasportiAlimentari ANITA and Transfrigoroute Italia, continues to hold the leitmotif of a speech that has been going on with conviction for some time, namely the need to act on a common field – production companies, institutions, logistics providers – up to transforming it into priorities in all the opportunities for meetings between stakeholders in the supply chain. Just like the one held yesterday January 31th at the Centro CongressiAssolombarda in Milano.
Invited to hold an intervention during the session “Beyond packaging: the overall quality of logistics and transport as a distinctive feature of Made in Italy“, Umberto focused his speech on the Logistics of Made in Italy food today and tomorrow, on how the Logistics services can play a major role in making businesses competitive.
On the one hand, the food production companies, driven by the rhythms of consumption, have a high dynamism; on the other – logistics must be able to respond quickly and establish real contact – said Umberto who, for his part, brings the experience of a company like Torello which knows about fresh food and food chain in detail.
Nowadays, underestimating the mutual influence between logistics and companies is not permitted. Mutual influence becomes mutual opportunity only when new possibilities and paths are experimented.
